Real life first name: Levi
Forum handle: Gaius_Kavadas
Main Character name: Gaius Kavadas
Server: Chilastra
Player Association: 47th Imperial Expeditionary Force (Imperial Army).

Where in the real life world do you live? I live in Fort Carson, CO.

How long have you played Star Wars Galaxies? I admit, I missed the first day... so since day two.

What other MMOs have you played? Zilch! SWG is my one and only. I cannot stand fantasy.

What type of work do you do? Currently, I am going to school and working as a recruiter for the Army…but I am returning to active duty shortly.

How long is your typical gaming session when playing Star Wars Galaxies? To be honest, it depends on how many guild mates I have on at the time. Luckily, I am in one of the largest guilds on the server so usually my gaming sessions last between two and four hours.

What does a typical Star Wars Galaxies day consist of for you? I have been grinding Restuss commendations a lot lately. I've been saving up for that Imperial helmet so I can get crackin' on making an "as accurate-as-possible" in-game Royal Guard costume.

What was the race and profession of your very first character? It was a male human Marksman.

What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? When I was a kid, I got a Sega Genesis after I played a bit at my cousin's. I spent many an hour beating up street thugs in "Streets of Rage." As for games I like, I am all over the place. The first game I got serious about that had online play was Mechwarrior 2, and then three, and then four, and then finally Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries. I ran my own unit in the big leagues (Davion Heavy Guards- if that rings any bells for people). Then I got into SWG when it was released, but after two months, I was deployed and missed a year. I came back and played solid for about six months and then around Pub16 I was deployed again. I got back into SWG in early December of 2005. I missed the entire CU!

What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing Star Wars Galaxies? Lately, I have been obsessed with Harmonix's Guitar Hero II. I have really been pushing it on my friends around here and we have a good following going. It is one of the funniest things ever to do after bar parties. I highly recommend it. I have been rooting for my Steelers as well but they have hit some rough roads lately. I guess it's just not the same team since Bettis retired and I must admit that Bill Cowher seems a lot less angry this season then he normally does.

What is your highest level Character in Star Wars Galaxies? My highest level character is combat level 90.

What race and profession is your main character? My main character is a Human commando.

What do you like the most about the profession you have chosen for your main character? HX2 land mines! Seriously, I go through about fifty a day. Those rebel scum fall for it every time.

What faction is your main character? Imperial -- is there even another faction?

What is your favorite player owned ship? Oof, that is a tough one. I think I like flying my TIE Advanced the most but I feel the coolest in my TIE Bomber.

What is your favorite ground vehicle? The AB-1 when I am just tooling around, but otherwise I stick to speederbikes because I live in my Scout Trooper armor.

How did you choose your main character's name? I actually tried to get my real first, Levi, but it was taken when I created my character. I added this "Levi" of Chilastra to my friends list but he/she has never logged on! I am still waiting for you, Levi. Gaius came about because I am crazy about ancient Roman history. It is Gaius, then Publius, then Julius, then Gnaes, and finally Cornelius. Luckily, Gaius was not taken.

Which professions in Star Wars Galaxies have you NOT played? I am proud to admit that I have never played a Jedi, but it would be easier to list the professions that I have played: commando, teras kasi, and officer.

What is your favorite expansion? My favorite expansion is Jump to Lightspeed.

What is your favorite planet? I like Yavin IV a lot. The first time I explored the planet for the POI badges, I thought everything on it was so cool-- especially the Woolamander Palace, the Blueleaf Cluster Temple, and the Massassi Temple! I liked it all, especially the one that was a mini Imperial theme park, though I have forgotten which temple that was.

What is your favorite NPC? Colonel Veers! He's my favorite character from all of Star Wars and was the only Imperial in the movies who actually won a battle. I still have not figured out why the developers chose Leia as the officer portrait over Veers. It has added to my long held suspicion that the developers are indeed rebel sympathizers.

Which expansion do you like the least? My least favorite expansion was The Trials of Obi-Wan because the "Champion of Mustafar" quests where you defeat HK-47 it seemed like planet-wide Jedi theme park. I like faction-based quests the most so "The Trials of Obi-Wan" did not do a lot for me. I did get a cool rocket launcher out of it, though.

Which planet do you like the least? Dantooine is my least favorite planet. On Chilastra, it is the rebel stronghold.

Which NPC do you like the least? My least favorite NPC would be the CL98 Rebel Colonels, because they hit pretty hard as far as rebels are concerned.

What is the most credits you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters? Hmmmmm, I think I spent about two million credits on an AV-21 power plant back in the day. After what seemed like a hundred corvette runs with no loot, I just caved. Generally, I try to refrain from purchasing things I can just go out and earn myself.

Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so what is it and why do you keep it? Yes, my first high-end flamethrower that was made by my guild's weaponsmith at the time. It is called "Gaius' Krayt Flamethrower" and I have had it for ages. I wish it had stats that actually made it worthwhile to use. I must have killed ten thousand squills with that thing when I was grinding commando.

What do you like best about Star Wars Galaxies? My guild, no question. The people in the 47th are fantastic and they have kept me interested in the game far longer then I would have been otherwise.

What do you get out of playing Star Wars Galaxies? I get to oppress people for my Emperor. What else could a guy ask for?

Describe your best experience playing Star Wars Galaxies? Last May I decided to go "all out" and plan a huge factional battle/event for our guild. It was called the Lokian Campaign and the back-story was that the Imperial High Command was internally investigating some missing weapon and equipment shipments that had fallen into the hands of Nym and then to the rebels. They suspected that Colonel Otto was either behind it or knew about it and was allowing it as long as he got a cut. I made my arrangements with Pex and we had Colonel Veers come to my guild's weekly meeting and lay out our mission for us. He told us that the rebels had planned on picking up some of the shipments from the Imperial outpost on Lok. A few days later, Colonel Veers returned and we boarded the lambda shuttles to intercept them. We hot dropped into the landing zone at the outpost and set up our perimeter and checkpoints. Soon we made contact with the rebel forces and the largest battle I have ever seen ensued. AT-ATs and AT-STs were everywhere! Lambda shuttles swooped in over hundreds of rebel NPCs and our own NPC reinforcements. Best of all, was that we got to fight side-by-side with Colonel Veers. It was great! I had over thirty guild mates participate and it was fantastic. You can check out our After Action Report here. Screenshots are included and they look great. Afterwards, Colonel Veers awarded us all, the Imperial soldier badge, which is the badge I am most proud of.

Do you run or work for a Star Wars Galaxies Fan Site? Nope, but I encourage all existing Imperials or new players on Chilastra to visit the 47th IEF's website. [内容结束]
