Where in the real life world do you live? Southern California
How long have you played Star Wars Galaxies? I have been playing since 2003.
What other MMOs have you played? Well, let's see, The SimsOnline was my first MMO. After that, SWG, World of Warcraft, EverQuest II, Matrix Online, City of Heroes, and Guild Wars.
What type of work do you do? I am a patent attorney.
How long is your typical gaming session when playing Star Wars Galaxies? I generally play three to four hours a session.
What does a typical Star Wars Galaxies day consist of for you? I love to quest, so I seek out every quest I can find. I also like crafting and have dedicated crafting alt characters. Of course, I check in with any friends online first, and see if we can get a group going. I am a big believer in the "multiplayer" aspect of MMOs.
What was the race and profession of your very first character? My first character was Aerynne, a human Doctor/Combat Medic. She was lots of fun to play and I still play Aerynne on occasion, although I have respec'ed her to a spy.
What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? I have been gaming since Duke Nukem first flashed his sexist grin my way - who could resist him? However, MMOs are my real love. Single player games just seem lonely to me now.
What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing Star Wars Galaxies? I read - a LOT - and I am a huge movie fan.
What is your highest level Character in Star Wars Galaxies? Novva is just a few grauls away from maxing out as a medic. My entertainer, Serii, and my Armorsmith, Romy, are both Masters.
What race and profession is your main character? Novva is a human medic.
What do you like the most about the profession you have chosen for your main character? I love being a healer. I play MMOs so I can game with other people, not alone…so choosing a support role is always my preference. That said, it is also nice to be able to solo on occasion and I find medic very handy in that regard.
What faction is your main character? Imperial all the way! Long live Palpatine!
What is your favorite player owned ship? I am not much of a pilot, but I love my Jedi Starfighter, mainly because Lord Vader gave it to me.
What is your favorite ground vehicle? That would be my Flash Speeder.
How did you choose your main character's name? It was kind of a spur-of-the-moment choice. I had always intended Aerynne to be my main character, but created Novva to be a more combat oriented character. At one time, she was a master swordsman. However, since I did not anticipate playing her that much, I did not give her name much thought and went with "Novva" since "Nova" was already taken. I always liked the name Nova from Planet of the Apes, and she was a "new" character for me. (Hey, five years of Latin must be good for something). I ended up really enjoying playing her, so she has locked poor Aerynne away.
Which professions in Star Wars Galaxies have you NOT played? I have played them all.
What is your favorite expansion? That's a tough one. I liked Jump to Lightspeed, because even though I am not much of a pilot, it added a completely new dimension to the game. However, I also loved the new quests introduced in both Rage of the Wookiees and Trials of Obi-Wan.
What is your favorite planet? I really think that the planet of Naboo is just beautiful. Not only that, but it is the birthplace of our glorious Emperor!
What is your favorite NPC? My favorite NPC is Lord Vader, of course!
Which expansion do you like the least? I liked them all.
Which planet do you like the least? Kashyyyk - even though I like the quests added there, I really hate the forced pathing.
Which NPC do you like the least? That Luke Skywhatever is a whiny traitor.
What is the most credits you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters? The amount was so big that I have blocked it out of my memory! I seem to recall paying an inordinate amount of credits for a mounted dewback not too long ago.
Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so what is it and why do you keep it? I have entire houses full of stuff I keep for nostalgic purposes. I was mayor of a city (Wrixwood Ford on Corellia) for a while, and though the city has passed into oblivion, I keep the cantina (The Laughing Wrix) and Aerynne's Medical Center there to remind me of friends past and present.
What do you like best about Star Wars Galaxies? I like how open-ended the game is. You can quest, PvP, fly your own ship, build your own city - no other MMO comes close to the variety of things available in SWG. Plus, it is Star Wars - I mean, how cool is it to live in the Star Wars universe?
What do you get out of playing Star Wars Galaxies? I get a great deal of fun and the chance to interact with people from all over the world. I have made some great friends in SWG!
Describe your best experience playing Star Wars Galaxies? I think my best experience would have to be joining my guild, The Dark Blade, and going on one of our many hunts across the galaxy. Combining good friends and Star Wars …what could be better?
